Jesus commanded us to do many others things, besides to love each other. What are some of Jesus other commandments? Where do you find them? In the Bible in Exodus: 20.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. WE MUST LOVE GOD

2. WE SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE

This means we should not worship anything or anyone but God. We cannot worship money or things we own or want to own. We only worship Heavenly-Father and Jesus. We don't waist our time on foolish things that mean nothing. We spend our time being obedient to Heavenly Father and obeying the commandments Jesus taught.

3. WE MUST NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD IN VAIN This means not swearing or saying bad words. Why did Jesus tell we should not do this?

It is a commandment. And God loves us and knows what’s best for us. Every time we obey Jesus, there is a blessing connected to it, if you are obedient. If you do no obey you do not get the blessing and because God doesn’t want Satan to destroy us.

When we say bad words, when we swear – we defile ourselves. We make ourselves less than we can be. We make ourselves vulgar, not godly; we are not like Jesus. When we swear, say bad works- we don’t love ourselves and we don’t love God. Would Jesus ever say bad words? No. And we want to be like Jesus

4. WE MUST KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY. This means to make Sunday a special, spiritual day. Sunday is a day when we go to Church, when we pray, when we learn the word of God. It is a special day to care for others and a day to only do good things, which would make Jesus happy.

5.WE MUST HONOR OUR FATHER AND MOTHER Why should we do this? !. It is a commandment and God loves us and knows what’s best for us. When we honor our parents, we honor God, because our parents are his children just like we are and he loves them. When we honor our parents, we respect them, even when we have parents that may not live the way God wants us to. We must love them anyway and try to be good examples to them so they can find God too. Sometimes our goodness will help them learn to be good too. We must pray for them and Jesus will give you help to do what you should. If you honor your parents you obey them, are kind to them and make them proud of you. Do you think Jesus was kind to his parents? Yes he loved them very much and we want to be like Jesus.
